Wii Update
A lot of people have been asking me, "How far along are you in collecting MyCokeReward points in your quest for a Nintendo Wii?" I thought it appropriate to update everyone through a new post.
I have been entering 10 codes per day (the maximum allowable) for many, many weeks now. It has become part of my routine. Pour myself some cereal, make some coffee, sit down and enter codes. Some people read the Bible in the morning, others the newspaper, I've got my cardboard tabs and little red caps.
It has been a lot of fun. It is amazing to see how many people have helped my out. I haven't come up with an exact figure but I would say its around 50-60 people from all across the country. And I know that there are others out there who aren't yet in proper mindset of constant vigilance, looking out for codes wherever they are: work, school, church, funerals, weddings, audits, blind-dates, muggings, dentists office, Scottish highland games.
I have had to break down some social barriers. Caryn gets embarrassed when I do so, but there have been several (O.K. many) times when I've gone up to strangers at bottle returns as asked them for thier caps. I usually offer to help them return the bottles as an exchange, and I've never had anyone say, "no" or be annoyed with me. I actually think people get a kick out of it. I know I do.
So, getting down to brass tacks, my total so far is just over 2250, which means only 4000 more to go to get the Wii. I know it seems daunting folks, but know that we are all in this together. Keep sending me your codes at navis206@yahoo.com and I'll keep entering them. Together we can do it (hopefully before the program ends in December).

Okay, it's been over a month since the last update. Have you given up on the Wii yet? Does it look like you'll get the points needed?
Not that I really think you need a Wii. But if Coke wants to give things away for brand loyalty, then you may as well have one.
